At White Stag Camp, we plan to put learners in novel, unexpected situations that challenge them to respond to difficult tasks that they are not prepared for.
We call these unexpected situations hurdles. A hurdle is guided exercise that requires you to demonstrate your ability to use specific leadership skills. This helps you—and us—figure out what you already know, and what you don’t yet know. That’s where learning at White Stag Camp begins.
Once we know what you already know, we add to it. During an intensive, participative, hands-on learning experience, we add to what you know. Then we give you a chance to put it to use, right away . The hurdle helps you increase your understanding of and ability to apply the leadership competencies.
